Mulberry Pharmacy is pleased to offer a selection of education classes designed to meet your regulatory and continuing education needs. Classes are conveniently held in the Mulberry Pharmacy Training Room and other facilities as needed.
Our class schedules change throughout the year, so be sure to visit the Education Calendar to see what we’ve got on the schedule. Denise Allegro, RN, BA directs all of our education and training programs. Denise can be reached by phone at (863) 425-1101 or (877) 425-1101 and by fax at (866) 425-1102.

All educational classes will be offered free of charge for staff employed by facilities served by Mulberry Pharmacy, except for CPR/First Aid. The American Red Cross national office recently changed the fees charged to all approved providers, which we unfortunately must pass on to you. The good news is that CPR and First Aid trainings are good for two years.
The new fees are as follows:
- CPR/AED alone - $19.00
- First Aid alone - $19.00
- CPR/AED and First Aid together - $27.00
In CPR/First Aid we do get on the floor, so please have staff come dressed appropriately (no low-cut tops or tanks).
The fee for facilities not served by Mulberry Pharmacy and for individuals who wish to come to any of the classes is $50.00 per person attending. Payments may be made in advance or on the day of class. Employees who would prefer going to another location are welcome to register by their Facility Administrator or designated individual.
CPR/First Aid, 4 hour medication training, Assisted Living Facility (ALF), Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) and Alzheimer’s I, II, and Update are offered throughout the various counties. We must have at least five (5) people scheduled in order to hold the class. A list of those registered for the class, using the Education Registration Form, must be faxed to Denise Allegro, RN, BA by the closing date listed on the class schedule (approximately one week prior to class date). You will receive confirmation the day after the closing date of the class. Any class that does not meet the requirement of five people will be cancelled.
Please inform your staff that our 4 hour medication classes start at 9:30a and may last up to 5.5 hours. Our CPR/First Aid classes start at 9:30a and may last up to 7 hours. Both classes involve testing and demonstrations.
Facilities of 100 beds or more with 70% of the resident served by Mulberry Pharmacy can have four (4) hour classes scheduled at their facility. The two (2) hour ALF Medication class update is held at the facility when requested. Administrators must call to schedule this with Denise Allegro.
One week prior to your scheduled class(es) fax a list of those who wish to attend using the Education Registration Form. Early registration is encouraged since space is limited. If there is a great need for a particular class we will schedule another class with a designated number of attendees from each facility. Individuals who are scheduled to attend and do not give a 24-hour notice of cancellation will be assessed a $25 fee prior to registering for further classes.
IMPORTANT: Prior to registering, please visit the Course Guidelines page for important rules and abbreviations.
